F.A.S.T Campaigns

F.A.S.T awareness in the community is a major priority for the National Stroke Network and the collaborative efforts of Te Whatu Ora, the Stroke Foundation NZ and Te Hiringa Hauora who run campaigns to raise awareness. The first campaign ran in 2016 and due to the success this has been ongoing since.

The importance of recognising the signs and symptoms of a stroke and acting F.A.S.T in order to reach hospital without delay, can significantly improve the outcome following stroke.
