Central Region Stroke Network
The Central Region Stroke Network was established in October 2012 and meets quarterly.
Members include lead stroke physicians, stroke nurses, a general manager planning and funding, a Director of Allied Health, speech-language therapist, community nurse, and primary care representative.
The key purpose of the Central Region Stroke Network is to facilitate the implementation of the New Zealand Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management 2010 to ensure that risks are reduced and improvements are made in the provision of acute and rehabilitation stroke services delivered across the Central Region.
The Central Region Stroke Network holds a study day for health professionals working with stroke across the central region DHBs.
